Holly, 22, a care leaver, enrolled on to our Driving Ahead scheme in September 2022.

 

During her first lesson, she had a panic attack and felt unable to continue her lessons. We placed her on our waiting list and told her she could rejoin when she felt ready. We kept in touch and six months later she felt ready to try again. We matched her with a supportive instructor and made sure to check in on her regularly. She grew in confidence and to her (and our) delight passed with flying colours in just 25 hours!
