Thanks to Middlesex Cricket Club, we were able to take a group of six care-experienced young people, and three friends and family members to the T20 Cricket World Cup at Lords, where we saw England beat West Indies.

None of the young people had ever been to a professional cricket match before, and one residential home care manager described the experience as “life-changing” for the three care-experienced residents who attended from her home.
She said: “The impact extends far beyond a single evening at the cricket. It forms part of their wider journey of personal growth, social development, and integration into life in London. Creating positive memories, broadening horizons, and helping them feel connected to their community is truly invaluable.”
