Boxing

​​​​In Summer 2026, 4 young people who are care-experienced, took part in boxing classes which were held in partnership with Unitas at their Amateur Boxing Club. The classes took place at Barnet Youth Zone in Burnt Oak for an 8 week course.  

 

The young people were between the ages of 17 and 20 and learnt to box in a fun and supportive environment.

One of the young women said “I loved the boxing! I really enjoyed it and I'm still going to the Friday classes at Unitas. It has 100% helped my confidence and given me a new skill.” 

​

The young people were also give membership to Unitas for a year so they could carry on with boxing and join other classes.
