Congratulations to Barnet Council staff, Natasha and Maddie who took part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 8th October and collectively raised nearly £1,300 in support of Live Unlimited!

The 13.1 mile race around some of London's iconic landmarks raised much needed funds going directly to our schemes such as Driving Ahead and Outdoor Club. These schemes aim to help improve mental health, reduce isolation and offer care- experienced young people an opportunity to achieve their full potential.

“It was such a pleasure to run the Royal Parks half marathon for Live Unlimited" - Maddie

Running for Live Unlimited was incredibly rewarding as it is such a fantastic charity doing really vital work for residents close to home. Finishing the race really hit home for me how important the support Live Unlimited provides.”

“I was motivated to help care leavers have access to driving lessons and their driving test. This scheme offered through the charity helps young people gain confidence and a new skill that can open doors to other opportunities" - Natasha

Despite some pain I was inspired to keep going. Inspired by who I was raising money for, the wonderful people taking part alongside me, the spectators and the beauty of the royal parks. I had to keep going. When I got to the finish line, I felt so good to have completed it. I challenged my body and raised much needed funds.”
